Engineering mixing systems for demanding processes.

JIANGSU KEHENG PETROCHEMICAL & ELECTRICAL MACHINERY CO., LTD. is pleased to announce its participation in OGA 2026 — Oil & Gas Asia, taking place from 2 to 4 September 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.

At Booth 8909, KEHENG will present industrial agitator and mixing solutions developed for storage, blending, homogenization, suspension and process applications across the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.

For KEHENG, industrial mixing begins with the process itself. Tank geometry, fluid properties, operating conditions and the required mixing objective all influence the final equipment configuration.

Mixing is not simply about keeping a liquid moving.

02 / The Industry

Different fluids. Different challenges.

Oil and gas facilities handle products ranging from relatively low-viscosity fuels to heavy crude, bitumen and complex multiphase fluids. A suitable agitator must therefore be selected according to the actual application rather than based only on tank volume or motor power.

01

Crude Oil Storage

Crude oil storage tanks and refinery mixing application

Crude oil storage tanks may experience sedimentation, density differences and non-uniform composition during extended storage periods. Proper circulation helps maintain product uniformity and reduce the accumulation of heavier components at the tank bottom.

Depending on tank geometry and process requirements, side-entry or top-entry mixing systems can be considered to provide the required circulation throughout the tank.

02

Bitumen & Asphalt

Bulk bitumen storage tank at an asphalt facility

Bitumen and asphalt applications require particular attention to viscosity, temperature, circulation and impeller design. The mixing system must provide sufficient circulation without creating unnecessary mechanical load.

KEHENG develops agitator solutions for bitumen, asphalt and modified asphalt applications, with the configuration selected according to the actual operating conditions.

03

Fuel & Petroleum Blending

Fuel storage tanks for petroleum product blending

Blending petroleum products requires controlled circulation and sufficient mixing intensity to achieve a consistent final composition.

Variable-speed operation can provide additional flexibility when product properties, operating conditions or production requirements change.

04

Slop Oil, Sludge & Complex Fluids

Petroleum storage tanks for slop oil and complex fluid applications

Slop oil, sludge and other complex process fluids may contain multiple phases or suspended solids with different densities.

These applications require careful consideration of suspension, circulation, sedimentation control and mechanical loading when selecting the agitator.

03 / Engineering

Designed around the process.

A reliable industrial agitator starts with understanding the process. KEHENG evaluates the relationship between the tank, the fluid, the mixing objective and the mechanical system before determining the final configuration.

Tank Geometry Diameter / Liquid Height
Fluid Properties Density / Viscosity
Mixing Objective Blending / Suspension
Impeller Type / Diameter
Operating Speed RPM / VFD
Drive System Motor / Gearbox
Mechanical System Shaft / Sealing
04 / Mixing Configuration

Side Entry or Top Entry?

The most suitable mixer configuration depends on tank size, product characteristics, circulation requirements and installation conditions. There is no universal configuration for every application.

Side Entry

  • Large storage tanks
  • Continuous circulation
  • Sedimentation control
  • Efficient tank-bottom circulation
  • Compact installation footprint

Top Entry

  • Process and production tanks
  • Blending and homogenization
  • Suspension applications
  • Flexible impeller configurations
  • Customized multi-level mixing
05 / Project Support

New projects. Existing equipment.

KEHENG supports both new mixing system projects and existing agitator replacement applications. The engineering process begins with understanding the actual equipment and process conditions.

NEW PROJECT

Start with the process.

For a new tank project, customers can provide basic information such as tank dimensions, product characteristics, operating conditions and mixing objectives. KEHENG can then develop an appropriate agitator configuration based on the application.

REPLACEMENT

Start with the existing equipment.

For replacement projects, existing mixer nameplates, drawings, photographs, motor data and tank dimensions can help our engineering team evaluate the current system and develop a suitable replacement solution.

OGA 2026 / Kuala Lumpur

MEET KEHENG.

Planning a new tank, upgrading an existing mixing system, or replacing an industrial agitator? Bring your project requirements, tank drawings or existing equipment data and discuss your application directly with the KEHENG team.
