Insights from Kuala Lumpur on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Storage Tank Mixing Applications
KEHENG MIXERS recently participated in Oil & Gas Asia (OGA) 2026, held from September 2–4 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia.
As one of the key energy industry events in Southeast Asia, OGA 2026 brought together professionals, engineering companies, equipment suppliers and industry partners from across the oil & gas, petrochemical and energy sectors.
For KEHENG MIXERS, the exhibition was an excellent opportunity to introduce our industrial agitator solutions, exchange technical ideas with industry professionals, and gain a deeper understanding of the mixing challenges faced by customers in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian market.

During the exhibition, our team had valuable discussions with professionals involved in oil & gas, petrochemical processing, storage and other industrial applications.
For large storage tanks and process vessels, agitator performance depends on much more than motor power or impeller size. Tank geometry, liquid properties, mixing objectives, operating conditions, material selection, shaft design, gearbox selection and sealing arrangements all need to be considered as part of the overall mixing system.
These discussions provided valuable insights into the practical requirements of customers and engineering companies across Southeast Asia.

These projects have strengthened our experience in designing mixing equipment for large and demanding industrial applications.
Every mixing application is different.
The same agitator configuration may perform very differently when used with different liquids, tank dimensions or process requirements. Therefore, KEHENG approaches agitator selection and design from an engineering perspective.
Depending on the application, our engineers can consider factors including:
CFD analysis and engineering calculations can also be applied where appropriate to help evaluate fluid flow and optimize the agitator configuration.
One of the most valuable observations from our conversations at OGA 2026 was that many industrial facilities are already operating with existing agitators.
However, after years of operation, some customers experience problems such as:
Some projects require a completely new mixing system, while others require optimization or modification of equipment that has already been installed and operated for years.
KEHENG MIXERS can support both requirements.
New side-entry or top-entry agitator systems designed according to tank dimensions, liquid properties, mixing objectives and operating conditions.
Technical evaluation and modification of existing agitators to improve reliability, mixing performance and equipment service life.
Whether you are planning a new storage tank, upgrading an existing process, replacing a damaged agitator shaft, addressing mechanical seal leakage, or improving mixing performance, our engineering team can work with the available equipment and process information to develop a practical solution.
Our participation in OGA 2026 was more than an exhibition. It was an opportunity to meet industry professionals, understand real-world mixing challenges and build connections with customers and project partners in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
The conversations in Kuala Lumpur reinforced our belief that reliable mixing equipment requires not only quality manufacturing, but also application-specific engineering and long-term technical support.
KEHENG MIXERS looks forward to working with customers, engineering companies and industry partners in Southeast Asia to provide reliable, customized and practical industrial mixing solutions.
