Overview

Why Heavy-Duty Mixing Demands a Purpose-Built Slurry Agitator

Thick, abrasive, fast-settling, highly corrosive slurries punish ordinary mixers. Our Industrial Slurry Agitator for Heavy-Duty Mixing Applications is engineered to keep solids suspended, accelerate chemical reactions and maintain uniform consistency where standard agitation simply fails.

This is not a standard mixer adapted for slurry service. It is a purpose-built industrial slurry agitator designed around three principles: high torque, rugged construction and long service life.

The unit combines a heavy-duty gear reducer, an oversized shaft and optimised impeller geometry to handle high-density, high-solids fluids. Depending on your process it can be configured as a top-entry agitator, a side-entry slurry mixer or a bottom-entry mixing unit — matched precisely to your tank, your fluid and your production targets.

Engineered Feature by Feature for Heavy-Duty Slurry Service

Heavy-Duty Drive & Torque Reserve

Hardened-helical gear reducers, heavy bearing housings and rigid couplings deliver generous torque headroom — so the agitator starts smoothly even after solids have settled, and keeps running through viscosity spikes without tripping the motor.

Wear-Resistant Impeller & Linings

Choose 304/316L stainless steel, duplex steel, rubber, polyurethane or ceramic-lined construction. For extreme abrasion we specify high-chrome alloy or composite wear structures to dramatically extend replacement intervals.

Optimised Flow & Anti-Settling Design

CFD-validated impeller diameter, blade angle and mounting depth create combined axial circulation and radial shear. Light floating solids are drawn down; settled solids are re-suspended; dead zones and wall build-up are eliminated.

Reliable Sealing — Leak & Explosion Proof

Mechanical seals, packing seals or dry gas seals are selected to suit your medium. For hazardous atmospheres we supply explosion-proof motors and control cabinets rated to ExdIIBT4 or the standard required by your site.

Intelligent Control & Energy Saving

PLC control, VFD, remote monitoring and overload protection are available as options. The system adjusts speed automatically to slurry density, tank level and process stage — avoiding "oversized-motor" waste while holding mixing quality steady.

Modular Design, Fully Customisable

Top, side or bottom entry; circular, square, underground or reactor vessels. Shaft length, number of impeller stages, materials, surface treatment and flange standards are all configured to your project — no compromise adapters required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions our engineers are asked most often.

What is an industrial slurry agitator used for?
An industrial slurry agitator is used to mix, suspend and blend solid particles within a liquid carrier. Typical duties include keeping ore slurry in suspension, preparing lime or limestone slurry, blending chemical suspensions, conditioning sludge and preparing drilling mud.
Can it handle high-density and high-solids slurries?
Yes. The unit is specifically engineered with high-torque gearing, oversized shafts, heavy-duty bearing housings and wear-resistant impellers to operate reliably in high-density and abrasive slurry service. Our engineering team will verify the torque requirement against your slurry density and solids content.
What motor power do I need for my tank?
Power depends on tank volume and geometry, slurry density, solids concentration, viscosity, impeller type and the required mixing intensity. Provide these details and our engineers will calculate the correct motor power, shaft diameter and impeller configuration for your application.
Can you customise the agitator for my existing tank?
Absolutely. We can design top-entry, side-entry or bottom-entry units to match your existing mounting flange, tank geometry, nozzle positions and process conditions — so you can replace an existing mixer without modifying the vessel.
What materials are available for corrosive or abrasive service?
Wetted parts can be supplied in 304 or 316L stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, coated carbon steel, rubber-lined, polyurethane-lined or ceramic-lined construction. Material selection is based on pH, chloride content, temperature and abrasiveness of your slurry.
What is the delivery time?
Standard units usually ship within 15–25 days. Customised heavy-duty slurry agitators — including special materials, explosion-proof motors or non-standard mounting — typically require 30–45 days. Confirmed lead time is stated in your proforma invoice.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept T/T bank transfer, L/C at sight, Alibaba Trade Assurance, Western Union and PayPal. Payment terms are negotiable for long-term distributors and OEM partners. All payment details are confirmed in the contract and proforma invoice.
How is the equipment packaged for international shipping?
Heavy-duty agitators are packed in export wooden cases or steel-framed crates with anti-rust protection, moisture barriers and steel strapping. Shafts, impellers, motors, gearboxes and spare parts are braced separately to prevent deformation or impact damage during transit.
What after-sales service is included?
Every unit includes a 12–24 month warranty (contract dependent), installation guidance, operator training, spare parts supply and 24/7 technical assistance. On-site commissioning support is available for large or complex projects.
